Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh Participates in Petra’s 57th Anniversary, Supporting its Documentary and Knowledge Initiatives

AMMAN – HE Dr.
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital
(TAG.GD), took part in the celebrations organized by the Jordan News Agency
(Petra) on the occasion of its 57th anniversary. The event was held in the
presence of Minister of Government Communication, HE Dr. Mohammad Momani,
Petra’s Board Chairman, Mr. Nabeel Ghishan, and Petra Director-General, Ms.
Fairouz Mubaideen, in addition to directors of official media institutions, members
of Petra’s Board of Directors, Jordan Press Association (JPA) President, Mr.
Tariq Momani, and an array of distinguished national personalities and
supporters.
The ceremony
included the inauguration of the "Petra Memory" Hall; a digital
archive featuring historical photographs captured by the News Agency's photographers,
along with equipment used since its establishment to document the evolution of
Jordan's national news agency. This was implemented with the support of TAG.GD.
On this
occasion, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh presented the News Agency with a knowledge station
equipped with modern computers and technologies. This initiative aims to
support the working environment and facilitate access to knowledge and
information for journalists and media staff. This is to successfully contribute
to enhancing media performance efficiency and keeping pace with digital
transformations in the media sector.
Not to mention
that this support comes as part of TAG.GD's unwavering commitment to supporting
national institutions and enhancing the digital transformation environment,
serving the march of Jordanian media and the mission of the Jordan News Agency
(Petra).
At the
conclusion of the ceremony, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh was honored in recognition of his
distinguished efforts and outstanding contributions, and in appreciation of his
prominent role in supporting the success of the event and achieving its goals.
